This hotel is one of our favourites as it is built in a delightful mixture of Scandinavian log cabin and Savoyarde styles and is one of the most atmospheric in the area as a total contrast to the other “city-hotels” in the centre. It has wonderful views of the mountain range. The Labrador has only 32 rooms and is 250m from the Flégère lift – you can pole across to it, snow permitting. When snow conditions are good you can ski back to the Labrador. If not you may have to come down by téléphérique. The hotel is 3 km. outside the main town of Chamonix on the road to Argentière. It has a shuttle bus shuttle to the slopes or it is possible to actually pole across to the Flégère lift. A separate log cabin building houses the restaurant ‘La Cabane’, with an open fire and fireside lounge, the bar is made of huge logs. The hotel also has a Jacuzzi, sauna and hammam and massage and beauty care services. Room and breakfast. Half board is optional and is served at the restaurant La Cabane, 50 m away. |
