Italy has a charm all of its own and some enduring attractions such as the food and wine and of course some stunning mountain scenery – especially in the Dolomites. Often the grooming is immaculate, runs appear flatteringly easy and remarkably uncrowded and piste classification seems to overstate difficulty.
The Dolomiti Superski lift pass draws many people to the Dolomites as it covers 45 resorts and 460 lifts. The superski region is broken down into 12 areas, each covering a number of resorts. The resort of Cortina d’Ampezzo, which we feature in our programme, is a good starting point for the Dolomiti Ski area, although a car would be useful to access especially to access some of the outlying villages.
