Hotel Sunstar

The Sunstar is in an enviable position, central in the main street of car-free Wengen, close to the shops and ski rentals and opposite the Mannlichen cable car and nursery slopes where the kindergarten meets. It is also just a couple of minutes walk to the station for trains up to Kleine Scheidegg.  This 4 star hotel is now managed by Mr Rainer Egloff and is not too sophisticated to be family friendly. Traditional dining room, A la carte restaurant, rustic sitting room with open fireplace and comfortable armchairs and bar which is popular with the locals. A small children’s play room leads off of the lounge. All 76 bedrooms have been recently refurbished and are a most successful combination of traditional local style with light modern elements. Heated swimming pool with panoramic windows and sauna free of charge, solarium at a supplement.

All 4* Sunstar hotels offer free mineral water, juice, soft drinks and beer from the mini-bar and the whole hotel is now smoke-free.
