Hotel Monte Rosa

Steeped in tradition the Monte Rosa was the original hotel in Zermatt. A member of ‘Great hotels of the World’ and ‘Swiss Historic Hotels’, It has the homely ambiance and charm of a traditional turn of the century hotel. Situated in the centre of the village on the main street and just 5 minutes from the Gornergrat railway, 10-15 minutes from the Sunnegga Express and Klein Matterhorn and just 200m from the resort bus stop.

The historical dining room serves breakfast buffet, table d’hote menu, a la carte option and weekly themed buffets. A dine-around programme is available (other than the New year period) allowing you to sample a wide range of cuisines by eating in any of the 11 restaurants of the Seiler group to the value of SF55. The spacious lounge houses little seating areas, a small library and children’s toy area. 47 rooms and suites in various sizes and styles, all in keeping with the hotels comfortable atmosphere.

Free use of indoor swimming pool (20x8m) sauna, steam bath and fitness room at the sister hotel Mont Cervin Palace (distance 120m). Ski service for ski hire and repairs.

A kindergarten for children aged 2-8 years supervised by English speaking nannies, is available to guests at the sister hotel Schweizerhof.

For the coming winter season, the 6th floor of the Monte Rosa will be renovated into new luxury suites of 100 – 102 m2. Therefore the roof will be redesigned. At the same time they are renovating the 5th and 4th floor. The reception in the entrance area will move and the bar will be extended into a lounge-Café.
