This luxury hotel lies in the heart of the Gornergrat skiing area at 2222 metres and is reached by the rack railway from the centre of Zermatt. With stunning panoramic views, this is the ideal Alpine retreat for those who are looking for something special and off of the beaten track. The Alexandre restaurant offers delicious set menus and a la carte dishes. The Walliser Keller restaurant has a homely atmosphere and serves Swiss specialties.Ristorante Al Bosco serves Italian specialties during daytime with a lovely sun terrace. A dine-around programme is available at certain times of the season allowing you to sample a wide range of cuisines by eating in any of the 11 restaurants of the Seiler group to the value of SF55. The Lodge is a cosy sitting room and bar with open fireplace where cocktails are served accompanied by a pianist. The whole complex comprises 65 attractively decorated rooms and 5 suites, all fully equipped with 5 star amenities. Most rooms have a balcony and Matterhorn view. Wellness “St.-Trop-Alp” has an indoor heated swimming pool, Europe’s highest outdoor pool (35 degrees), special body treatments, grotto, solarium, sauna, steam baths and fitness room. In-house ski repairs and ski rental as well as in-house ski and mountain guide, 2 bowling alleys, home cinema and a billiard room. For children there is a play area indoors. A special children’s supper is served at 6pm. The hotel’s kindergarten is open Sunday to Friday 1500-2230 for children aged 2–8 years old who are potty trained.
